Sundowners F-8 Crusader begins it's run off the #2 Cat. Look under the left wing of the "Sader" and you will see the image of a "Blue Shirt" in the air. Due to a Blast Deflector hydraulics failure (it dropped during the "Sader" launch), the unfortunate Blue Shirt manning the "tiller" on the Skyhawk (VA-112 or VA-113) up next was blown over the side and killed. He was a few weeks away from celebrating his 18th Birthday.
